The blacksmiths are sweating in their workshops giving the red-hot iron one heavy blow after the other. To the best of their ability and without modern equipment they try hard to carry on the tradition of the old Danes. Find out how their work is progressing.

The blacksmith was one of the most important craftsmen in the Viking Age society. The job was warm, dirty and hard with an endless order for knives, axes, scissors, rivets, nails, fittings, locks, fire steels, cauldrons and many other indispensable things for the home, farming, boat building and the battlefield.
